Poem 13 : The little ones

Flittery sparrows just passed by
In the calm morning sky.
I watched them fly high
From where I stood gazing thy.

They sat,they ate,they chirped
And they flew again
Into the urban terrain,
Easy enough with no strain.

I watched kids jumping around
Trying to catch the little ones
And then lying aside
After getting demoralized.

I sat beside them.
They were tired,
Catching their breath
And gazing the birds go by.

And then came this new flock
To feast their morning meal.
Kids resumed their catching game
and to sit back again with shame.

It was a long way back
When I jumped and shouted,
Running  around
To catch the little ones.

Life has unfolded,day by day,
To teach me
The pursuit is always on,
In the end, you are always left alone.
